Commonly referred to as “The city of squares” Cambridge is home to a number of squares including Harvard, Inman, Central and Kendall Squares. Each is distinct in its own personality and make up, but all areas offer great amenities for their residents from shopping to dining and entertainment.
Located on the north side of the Charles River, Cambridge is the home to some of the most prestigious schools including Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As a result Cambridge is well known around the world.
Technology has played a large part in Cambridge. In the 1980’s, companies like Lotus began opening up and were followed years after by biotech firms including Genzyme, Biogen and Novartis. Today, the Kendall Square area in particular is home to many additional tech companies including Google, Microsoft and also Amazon.
